About Personal
One of my earliest memories is dreaming of creating my own clothing line and putting on fashion shows of my own.
As a teenager, I began cutting up my clothes and tying them back together, always searching for new ways to make them feel uniquely mine. That curiosity stayed with me and gradually grew into a deeper passion. I learned embroidery, explored different techniques, and continued discovering new ways to bring my ideas to life. With every skill I developed, the dream felt a little closer.
Eventually, that childhood vision became something tangible: moving into production and preparing for an official launch. That’s where Personal is today—a dream I’ve carried for most of my life, finally becoming something real that I can share with you.
THE BRAND STYLE
Personal’s style comes from the life I’ve lived and the people who have shaped it. Growing up in Texas, I was surrounded by skateboarding and BMX through the friends I grew up with. At 20, I moved to Oakland with one suitcase, my dog, and a skateboard as my main form of transportation. I eventually made my way to San Francisco, where I was inspired by the riders around me—their willingness to push through pain, failure, and slow progress to land new tricks. Skateboarding builds character through pain, patience, and resilience to keep trying, even when progress is slow.
I’ve always been drawn to the baggy, grunge look, both for the style itself and for the character of the people I’ve known who wear it—their humility, individuality, and laid-back approach to life.
Personal’s streetwear and skate roots come from that mindset: the freedom to express yourself, the laid-back lifestyle, and the sense of community built through shared effort, persistence, and passion.
WHY 1127
1127 are my personal angel numbers. I began noticing them everywhere, especially in moments when I was thinking about building a brand from nothing. To me, it became a reminder to keep going, trust what I was creating, and believe in the vision—even when it felt too big to accomplish.
When people asked what 1127 meant, I found it difficult to explain how those numbers had guided me to follow my dream. Their meaning—and the way they encouraged me to keep pursuing this vision—felt too personal to share.
That feeling became the heart of the brand’s name: Personal.

Melo is the 1127 Personal Messenger—a representation of the spirit behind the numbers.
He’s that quiet voice in your ear, guiding you and nudging you in the right direction. The one reminding you not to give up on yourself and speaking confidence into you when you’re struggling to find your own.
Melo is always there, even when you can’t see him.
As Personal’s spokesperson, he gives that spirit a presence—a way to share the encouragement that helped bring this brand to life.
